More about the windmill visit

This has been a late night and I will not be able to get on wifi for 24 hours, meaning 10:00 tomorrow night. That will put me way behind in posting because I have this whole day to write and post photos about. To keep from getting even more behind, here are a few photos from our visit to the working windmill.

Climb the steps to the first floor.

More climbing to the next floor.

The inner workings of the mill.

We heard about the sails and setting them according to the wind, and turning the cap for current wind direction, and how to stop the windmill which is a “touchy” procedure to prevent the wheels from too much friction which could cause a fire. The wood inside the mill is beautiful and everything is in precision operation.
