There is little riding to be done around Lake Easton State Park, but we have gone around the Lake a couple of times. This time was with five of us ‘sisters’. We gathered together under our “flag”.

Rode the unpaved trail, sometimes a bit rocky, stopped on the bridge for photo ops.

Mimi, our sister visiting from Louisiana, took our selfie on the bridge.
From left, Mimi, Linda, Mame, Susan, Nancy.

I love the train tracks winding by the lakeside. And the mountains on the other side of the bridge.

Our next point of interest was the tunnel. We each hopped off the saddle, ogled the tunnel, had a quick drink, and took a few photos.

We found the skeletons as we emerged from the rocky trail, and a piece of an old building. Glad we made it to the end of the trail in better shape than the cyclist here. And I think that is what the group is celebrating. ;’-)

Mame insisted I not be left out of the photo…

I think maybe this is where the skeletons lived.

End of the unpaved trail brought us into the “town” of Easton. Town is not quite right, village is less right, and it don’t know what to call it. Basically it is a gas station/convenience store, but does have Easton School. I suppose at one time it was an active part of town, but now not so much. All that are there are broken down buildings and businesses.

This was a really nice group of women to share a ride with, each enjoyed their time together. Tomorrow Susan and I will offer a lunchtime ride over to Mountain High burgers. We did that yesterday with another sister before many others arrived. Some seem enthused to take this short ride just to use their bike more than once!
Of course while we cyclists were doing our thing, others were doing their thing whether it was relaxing and reading, taking a walk, or kayaking.

Later in the early afternoon there was crafting time. Jane completed her crafting and gave the finished product to Susan. As I snapped the photo, Jane said “but my hair”!
