Nese was a willing subject to ride with us again and we HAD to show her City Hall Saloon, which she really enjoyed visiting.
I waited outside with our bikes while Susan showed Nese around, and got a few things I did not get the day before.

These next two for a few of my cycling friends who appreciate vintage bikes, even if they are not working bikes ;’-).

Here at the Saloon is where we learned about the murder!!!! When we drove into the campground on Thursday we passed a bunch of cars and police vehicles alongside the road and in the roadside field. At camp no one knew what it was about and guessed/speculated some movie makers were filming something. We heard and saw several helicopters but chalked that up as normal for what was going on. WELL! It was murder here in Ravensdale WA. My friends may have seen the newscast about it, and could see the sign to our campground on the news. A body of a 53 year old man was found, and investigation was going on right next to our campground.
Further along from the Biker Bar we passed by some locals filling their water jugs from a fresh spring, and the surroundings of ponds and falls added some picturesque scenery.

Across the road from the Spring is the old Gorge Inn. It is a relic from days gone by, but at one point was a thriving business. Located at the end of the bridge across the Green River Gorge brought many viewers and guests to the Inn. It has been decades since I have ridden out in this area and seen the Gorge. Nice to be back and be in awe of it again. The first time I was here, I was very surprised that we had such a gorge right here in western Washington, not very far from where I lived in Seattle.

It is impossible to get a good photo of the gorge to show its depth and beauty, but I tried.

Shortly we noticed a Ghost town in Franklin WA. We did not see much as we turned into the parking lot, but the sign asked for $5 for car parking and you could take a trail to see an old cemetery, and maybe a couple of building foundations. We did not do that, but might be interesting some time.

Who does not like seeing some farm animals along the way. There were few and far between animals, but these goats, two of them standing on tree stumps, appeared as interested in us as we were in them. They stayed and posed for us for minutes before leaping down and ambling along as we walked away.

The alpaca were fun as well. It took a bit for them to come a bit close, and, what appeared to be Mama Lama, herded them away if they got too close to us.

We found our way to Black Diamond Bakery, iconic for many cyclists, and made a purchase for our later lunch. This was not the best part of the ride as there was lots of traffic with many trucks, and minimal to no shoulder to get out and away from town. Fortunately we were soon off that road!
Back at camp after fantastic day of riding together, we found another flamingo display.

Some of our sister friends were working at, and doing great art of rock painting.

Our timing of the ride and finish of the ride was perfect, as rain started very soon after we got to our campsite. Susan and I quickly put away gear and covered our bikes just before the rain started in earnest.
Dinner time was a bit of a challenge, but the Sisters are always prepared.

The end of a very great day! We will be heading home tomorrow, but first, the three of us plan to bike back to City Hall for breakfast! There should be no rain, but I think it might be a cold ride, but I think we will do it.
