2) FERNIE BIKE RIDE HAPPENS 🤗

The next day, the ride that had gotten rained out, was revived. Twelve of us Sisters gathered for the start. Look at this gorgeous group ;’-).

We got on the unpaved, hard packed trail that took us to pavement for a while, where our leader Carolyn gave us some instructions and info about our ride.

We were all in rapt attention to all details. 😉

And were soon off again for riding.

A few stops for sips of water, de-layering, or taking in the views.

Here, Carolyn gave us the choice of riding back to camp on the same route, or riding on through some neighborhoods and into Fernie, making it a loop ride. Consensus was “let’s go to Fernie”.

A few riders passed through town and continued on to camp while a few others chose the Fernie Brewery for a lunch stop.

Susan and I rode on to the Golf Course Bayleaf Restaurant on an errand. We wanted to find something good to add to tonight’s pot luck dinner. We found it, had lunch there, and returned to camp (about a mile away). Sun was out a lot today and made a great day for our SOTF ride.

Our day ended with a potluck dinner and our nightly campfire circle.
