Being Dam Easy, there was, purposely, little scheduled and few responsibilities like preparing potluck dish, rushing to be on time for a road trip, making sure our time was scheduled just right to do any and all meet ups. All fun activities through the season, but now time to kick back and relax. So this near end of season event is meant to be relaxed, laid back and quietly enjoyed. Even so, there was plenty to do, and lots of choices of activities.
Today there were several choices: bike ride for those who were not here yesterday or wanted to ride again; a dam tour; kayaking on the lake, a hike in the canyon.
Our ride buddy for at least half of our ride on this day was Nese.

The morning had a bit more chill and the clouds had rolled in to cover much of the sky. But it all brought another great day to ride our bikes. Just not as blue as yesterday. Today’s route would take us to Electric City, just about 4 miles south of Grand Coulee.

We had such great views it was hard to not stop every few feet for a photo, but we knew they would start looking alike or all so similar.

This of course is nowhere near even a distant third cousin to the canyons in Utah that has the bright colors, tall spires and deep canyons, but we had great scenery around every bend.

Fall color over here is yellow. All yellow and beautiful, especially when sun hits the leaves. Poplar and Ash seem to be the prominent species. Even our potty stop had some yellow colored tree beauty.

Nese had turned back by now to join the hiking activity starting from camp, Susan and I continued on. We made our way to Electric City for lunch and I was happy they serve breakfast all day, as that is something I often like to have for lunch.

After lunch it was time to head back and Susan led us onto some meandering side spur roads — another thing I like to do on rides and am always so glad when Susan rides with me to explore ;’-).
Returning to camp in the early afternoon, Bonnie had pie available for us! Yumm – thanks Bonnie. This whole day was a highlight day for me, but others enjoyed their day just as much — hiking, kayaking, dam touring, relaxing, whatever they chose as it was dam easy.

We had our evening circle, and this morning they had lifted the fire ban, so we did have a wood fire (rather than the propane fires we had earlier).

Lucy was one of the very few who always had her name tag. She is sleeping now, but she brought Sharlene along for any needed assistance for later ;’-).

Good night all.
Again a wonderful day!
