Yep, I am far behind in blogging again. I have been riding, and I have a few photos for November and December but I have lagged in journaling. Maybe just maybe this entry will spur me to do some catch up ;’-). We’ll see.
Every month a guy (Randy) posts a list of 12 things to find when riding your bike. He posts the list on face book for you to find and take a photo of each item. Then you post the photo which must include at least a part of your bike on the FB page.
Here is the list for this month of January…

I have been doing this “challenge” for quite a few years (10 at least) and now I choose to do these only in months when I have little else to ride for! Such as: very few of my cycling friends are into riding in cold and damp weather; my solo rides are repeated often, with nothing new for me to see; I do very few non-solo rides at this time of year. So Randy’s list gives me something to look for when I am out on those nearby repetitive rides.
My finds for January …
1-4: A lock, A pen, The word “new”, A smile ;’-)

5-8: Fake Flowers, Something new (awaiting warmer temps), A Book, Steam (I was surprised to find this one!).

9-12: Animal Tracks (I was so surprised to find these tracks!. (More to come about those below), Ice (in the tire), Under Construction, Something I want Changed (littering, or litterers).

I completed this months challenge ;’-).
On another topic — a fun outing was with Susan last week. She had done her short daily ride and found this obstacle course drawn on the pavement of our nearby middle school. Susan being Susan, she took me to see it AND to do it!
Side Jumping is not as easy as it may sound. Unless you are a student in middle school!

Me side jumping…

Tiptoeing was not too hard if you could keep your balance.

Me not losing my balance…

Leaping takes some concentrated planning.

Susan concentrates.

Notice on the one photo up, right after the leap is jumping.
Susan winds up for the Jump…

Bear Steps mean being flexible.

And Susan proves she is flexible.

Enjoy the New Year everyone ;’-).
I love that you find adventures wherever you go!

That’s us — entertainers!! It was fun, and Susan always wants to do these things and for me to do them as well.
