Our next full day at camp started with the usual breakfast gathering and the list of activity for the day. Read down the list and see the “talent show”.

Looks like a rather full day as we are both signed up for “little boxes” and “interior Design” classes, and then there’s that talent show. So we decided to postpone our planned ride with Fran to tomorrow as it is a day open for us to do what we want to do. So a ride seems perfect for such a day with no time constraints.
Our first activity after breakfast was making little boxes with Penny as our instructor.
First, choose you papers…

Take your paper choices to your work station and begin marking and folding — correctly and be exact.

Penny gives us detailed instructions.

Susan works diligently…

My neighbor is having great success as well…

Oh my, I have done something wrong here…

Penny rescues me and we all continue on to complete our little boxes.

Strolling around the campground I see that the ‘crinoline lady’ has arrived for those wishing for one.

We did attend the Interior Design class and there was lots of information, but nothing pertaining to our little van. After this class I had my Ukelele practice for our performance this evening…..

After this we had an interesting and informative Bear talk by Lydia, volunteer from Hope Mountain Black Bear Committee. She is passionate about saving bears, and that humans learn better behavior to help maintain them by learning how to share the world by respecting them, and avoiding being attacked by them, or attracted to their campsites or homes.

Lisa apologized ahead of time, saying it is her husband who does the barbecuing. She needn’t have apologized as she did a fine job of cooking our dinner.

Time for the evening’s entertainment to begin!. Nadine, in her newly purchased crinoline and dress, performed as our exuberant emcee.

All our practice on the Uke was put to its test as we “Strumming Sisters” were first on the agenda -ME! Performing on a musical instrument!!! Thank goodness we were a group and my mistakes did not show ;’-).

There is more talent in this group…
Penny played her cigar box guitar and sang a song for us.

Susan was a stand-in trainer for Sharon who was temporarily indisposed, to show off Enya’s tricks.

Debbie, and then Dona, read us an inspiring back country take on “The Night Before Christmas”

Eileen entertained us with very funny personal stories.

Susan was up again as herself, teaching and demonstrating how to juggle. She showed and demonstrated each beginning step (one ball at a time) and ended with a full juggle.

Nadine and Fran did a ribbon dance.
I did not get a video of each talent, and would not have had room to post each one, But we sure did enjoy each other’s “talents”. For some of us – talents we did not know we had!!
