FINISHING UP THE GREENBELT TRAIL ;’-)

We are now satisfied that we have ridden the entire trail end to end on each side of the Boise River. Yesterday was the “Tour d’Bike Shops”, today was the “Tour d’Parks.”

There are many parks all along the bike trail and most involve walking through and around some of them which we chose to not do. We did take plenty of time for some stops and to enjoy the scenery, the weather and where we were. Some photos of parks will give an idea of the beauty of them. First crossing a bridge with rolling hills and a string of homes as our backdrop.

We took a leisurely ride through Boise State University, something we both like doing when we are nearby a college campus, and this campus is right directly on the trail. Susan says Boise State has a good football team.

Big B for the Broncos…

One of the several trails we did not walk around, but Susan stopped to take a phone call from a past friend who now lives in Boise.

As we rode along, we came upon the Firefighters Memorial Park that I was hoping to see. Always an emotional feeling for these fire fighters.

We stopped for lunch at the Lemon Tree that Jayne had suggested, and enjoyed a delicious lunch at one of their outdoor tables. Weather here has been spectacular and perfect for outdoor dining.

After our all day outing, we returned home before Jayne got home from her partial day of work. Her arm is healing fairly well, but still tires her if standing too long or attempting to use that hand too much.

We said our farewells this morning with “see ya down the road” and thanks for everything. Heal well Jayne, we look forward to our next time together.
