After breakfast in a mom and pop type cafe in Cranbrook, our morning drive to Fernie was in the rain. Fortunately it was a shortish drive of an hour and a half and the rain let up and stopped as we neared our destination. Arriving in town early and before check in time, we did a little walk around town and some window shopping, stopping of course in the two bike shops. No purchasing this time except for Susan choosing a Pear and Gorgonzola pizza to have later for dinner.

We did find an interesting sign at the restroooms in the pizza restaurant. Makes sense to us. But they were individual restrooms.

We got to camp, got set up and found our way around the grounds, noting some of the trailer set ups and rigs as we went.

Lisa was here with her schoolie, Serenity.

I donβt think this person hates flamingoes β most likely protection against the wind!!

Festive tree decorations.

And Tent Central where we would have our meet and greet gathering, morning coffee, bad weather shelter, and our High Tea event ;β-).

Everyone met at Tent Central to get our name tags, get to meet each other, and to hear about our agenda for the event. As evening fell, we had our first campfire.

That night it rained and the rain continued into the morning. That canceled the planned bike ride that Carolyn had for us. Or at least would postpone the ride β we hoped!
The High Tea was a true highlight for all. While the rest of us lazed around for the day, our tea committee was hard at work to make this special for us.
Getting out the special tea ware.

Making those tea sandwiches we love.

Pre-setting the tables for all of us.

Susan and I had to get ourselves dressed for tea time. Hats and pearls would be the best we could do.

This next photo is a portion of us getting ready for our photo op.

They were as ready as they could get.

Our Greeter Lisa welcomed each of us as we entered.

Milling around to find our seatβ¦

All the finery that these gals found was a sight to behold ;β-).
Once seated and comfortable our Hostess with the Mostest Tracey, gave us our formal greeting, told us of each tea, each sandwich and each sweet dessert.

Six to a table, and though there were photos of all six tables, I include two here.
Susan and I are on the left in this photo.

Our new found friends, Lisa and Lynn, are in the back in this next photo. Susan and I met these two at our campsite thinking they were sisters. They had no idea what we were referring to. We told them some, introduced them to the leader and another wrangler from Montana and they were invited to be Sisters On The Try. They loved it.

As Tracey continually walked around elegantly filing our tea cups, we told her she was a natural for this tea event. She said it must be her Charm School training! Turns out she actually did go to charm school at her momβs insistence. She had a few stories to tell us ;β-).
A fantastic High Tea afternoon Tracey β thank you.π
Loved your hats and pearls . And how nice to find two friends who also now are sisters βon tryβπ
