2) FLOWER FUN IN CARNATION

A new day — a new agenda ;’-)

First on the docket was our longer bike ride. We went from 8 riders yesterday to 5 for today. And what a 5 we had!! All and each were eager for any photo stop and visits and sights we found.

Just 2 miles from ‘home’ we came to a lavender stop where Cindy bought a lavender bag for a friend.

Along the farm road were picturesque farm buildings that beckoned to be photographed.

Once we came upon the flowers part of our Flower Fun event, we spent a bit of time getting just the right photos!

Moving along, I pulled in to show the gals the wire horse and farm. The many times I have done this ride, I have never seen a person attached to it — maybe the wrong season. Today we were fortunate that Tanya was here and wandering around her acreage and she stopped to talk with us for a long time. This was a huge highlight for all of us.

The bearded goat came to say hi as well.

Time to move on girls, say goodbye to Tanya and farm animals. No horses on the road today, but we did see a couple of her ponies.

Coffee, tea and food break at the coffee shop in Fall City was our halfway point and we would now start some climbing of the rolling hills on THIS side of Fall City. Until now it had been all flat riding through the farmlands.

A stop at Jubilee Farms was a must. AGAIN, all the many times I have been on this ride, the farm building had not been open. Fortunately it was open today so I could share another highlight with our friends.

I stayed out and watched the bikes this time and Susan went shopping. She got a few beautiful tomatoes, and found something for me that she said she knew I would like.

The final leg of our “tour” brought us back to the bridge crossing the Snoqualmie River.

The visit to Remlinger Farms was thwarted by it being closed today! A couple of the gals drove (back) to Fall City to do some ‘thrifting’. Neither Susan nor I are into that activity so we returned to camp where Susan scouted a place to fly fish, and I continued to update this blog and here I am.

These four used the Last Frontier Saloon on their thrifting outing, and seem to be having ‘more fun than anyone’.

Returned from our activities of choice by early afternoon, it was time for our Trailer Tours. We walked to each trailer/rig for a tour of the outside and inside for inspiration for each other as well as to appreciate and ooh and aah over everyone’s rigs.

Let’s go!

There were lots of trailers to visit so one photo will do ;’-).

Sharene is such a caring care taker for her pet Lucy. Lucy is aging and has lost most of her hearing, much of her eyesight and has a bad leg/ankle which renders her unable to walk on her own. Sharene has accommodated all of Lucy’s needs including a walking belt (like we need when injured and need help walking) that she holds onto to assist Lucy’s walks around the campground. Sharene says that Lucy is so thrilled with all the petting and loving she is getting from everyone here that as soon as she is out of her cart to walk, she heads toward the fire ring where we always meet up. Lucy is so sweet, it is difficult to not pet and love her.
