Final Day at KOA PW RALLY TUCSON

Penelope and Barb had rented a cart to make it easier for Barb to get from place to place. Last night they offered it to us for any use we might have for it. It made for a much easier way to get our two full bags of laundry to be laundered than if we had to get those there by bike. So thank you for the loan.

I can not leave this area without at least one more good bike ride. I wanted to take advantage of the blue sky and sunshine so wandered off alone on the trail to go a little past the arch this time.

There can be flash floods around here as there are monsoon rain falls that cause fast moving water. All along the trail there are warnings to not enter when flooded.

It’s a little hard to imagine such flooding now with the totally dried out gulleys. But it can happen in a flash I guess.

I saw only a few other cyclists on the trail this morning which tells me this is not the most popular part of the Loop trail. If we had more time here I would find a way to experience other parts of the trail.

Relaxed afternoon with a couple of breakout meetings of the different regions in attendance, and a walk around happy hour where a few of the rigs offered goodies. Then it was dinner time which brought us to the end of our day. Tomorrow is Sunday, end of the rally, and we will be packing up and leaving early for the drive to Sarah’s.

With all of this sun and blue sky I told Susan I could adapt to this climate for at least a couple of months. She said she could not!
