I think I have finally reached the point of not caring about the miles I ride. At least that is true for now π. I have been aiming for that for a few years and have never quite gotten there. I care about riding my bike on any day that I feel like it, and as I build my confidence, I will continue to stay near home and look for the beauty that is already here. And any surprises.
With that in mind, here is something I spotted on one of my rides this week. This is an indication that getting to the wrong place using GPS does not happen to only us!

Normally, whenever I come upon a lemonade stand, a cookie stand or any other treat stand manned by the neighborhoodβs kids, I stop and make a purchase whether I need it or not. I appreciate that they are there, I like the whole idea of these kids and their constructive entrepreneurial efforts, and I like adding to their coffer for whatever it is they plan to use their earned cash for.
Need it or not, I could not think of any outlet I would have for the product of this stand. But I did enjoy my stop and those cute kids seriously choosing just the right cards.

Oliver had lots of cards and was quite congenial as he helped his customers and chatted with me for just a bit. He said he might purchase more cards with the income from his sales here today. I wonder why the βmightβ, but neglected to ask him.

My morning rides this week have been rather chilly and the sun seems to come out after my ride is done. This next ride had the same conditions as I pedaled up our road to start on a slightly longer ride. Flowers to the left of me, flowers to the right of me bring me a smile along the way even without the sun which is yet hiding.

Later, you can see that the sun is trying, I would be encouraged by these signs planted in the homeownersβ garden. Gives a little hope.

I like to ride 5-7 days of the week, but there are days that are harder than others to find motivation to ride. For the most part the reason for that is because I do the same 4-6 routes from my home many many times. They are rather nice routes, but it does get boring at times. Add to that, when I think of doing one of my longer routes, it involves crossing and/or riding roads that have traffic and at times very busy traffic. That deters me from riding those routes on certain days. So, having that motivational problem, I again rode around my immediate neighborhood and looked for more things to include here ;β-). Many are repeats of things I have posted in the past, but maybe you have forgotten them, or maybe there are those who have not seen them or maybe they have changed a little.π€.
This morning I was greeted with sunshine. Still slightly chilly at 60 degrees, but warmed up enough for me shed my jacket. A delightful day for my ride.
My long term readers will recall Maraβs stump, but I have not taken a picture of if for quite a while. She decorates for holidays or for nothing but a change each month.

The ducks seem to enjoy the stump as well.

On down the road, here is a parade I always like to see. In the past there have been times when they have fallen over and I stop to set them right again. Now it appears that they seem to have been made a bit more stable with sturdy postures β- except for the one that has taken a tumble.

This next photo of a patiently waiting golfer is appropriately situated directly across from the golf course, and acknowledges our often present rain.

Some love⦠a just around the corner.

This will likely be the end of my posting for this weekβs riding. I will ride more days, but unless I go farther afield, there will not be much that is blog-worthy ;β-). And if I do go farther afield, I will enter blog-worthy things on another post.
Thanks for sticking with me ;β-).
