You will notice that I did skip a day of blogging. A quick synopsis is: after yesterday’s morning bike ride, and after chillin’ (literally) at the Horseshoe for a few hours, we drove into the town of Wilson to meet the other sisters for dinner. Every year the town has a big Czech Festival and this was the weekend for it. Neither of us was in the Fest mood so I took zero photos, both Susan and I have been suffering with the heat and walked around the festival for only a brief time before retreating to yet another air conditioned hotel room! It looked like a lot of fun was happening but we sorta kinda didn’t care enough to sit or walk in the 100 degrees to watch anything.
But here is a photo that one of the sisters took that shows what we missed at the After The Harvest Fest. On our walking around we saw a lot of people dressed in Czech style ;’-). Sorry to have missed some of the colorful dancing and May Pole, but not that sorry 😏.

The next day (today, Saturday) we drove a lot of miles to make the next 3 days less stressful with less miles. We “almost” camped tonight, but the 90 degree evening and swarms of flies at the campground has us at Bunkhouse Motel. The town of Guernsey WY is right on the old Oregon Trail, and in the 1840’s it was known as the “emigrants wash tub”. All the pioneers came here to bathe and do their laundry.

And so, here we are in a western themed motel again with good cool air, fast wifi and comfy beds, with breakfast served in the morning. I did ask Susan if she thinks we will ever “camp” again – personally I could get into this motel travel 😉. Her answer? Yes, of course once we get to ‘friendlier’ climate.
I think you will soon be in a friendlier climate if you head for home! Miss you both.
Love, Bill

We will be happy to be home! We’ll get there after two more outings: Standpoint ID next, then Lake Easton which brings us near ;’-)
