Number 1 comes to a close, but Lisa has already posted #2 for next year. And Susan and I are registered for that one too. It has been renewing to have sunny, dry and warm days after the chill of our early spring at home. We figure that many people go to their cabin by the lake at least once a year, so I say this is our cabin by the lake for a June visit. ;’-).
For today, we had another wonderful time on the saddle in that luscious sun and deep blue sky — and no wind on this day! Here is a picture of the route, but we took a variation from Manson Park to camp as everyone was getting antsy to get back and go for the food truck tacos.

Fifteen of us had signed up, but two had to unfortunately cancel out, Melinda was not feeling well, and Linda had a sick dog at home needing her presence.
But we had our lucky thirteen group ready to roll.

We were in the same general area as on our small group ride the day before, but not many of the actual roads were repeated. Right out of the gate this morning we worked our way up a 2 mile hill for some views.

Susan searched for a goat head thorn (or puncture weed) to show everyone what to avoid on the road or in the brush.

We are now all ready to go down that two mile hill 😉. See by the smiles — a down hill will be joyful.

And got more stunning views. We are in wine country and I count these as the Pinot part of our Pedals and Pinot outing.

Before continuing on to our rest and eat spot at Manson Bay, we made a visit to Harmony Meadows which is a tennis and pickleball resort.

Susan gathered us together for another cycling lesson — this one about a “quick stop” and a “quick turn” that helps avoid running over obstacles you might suddenly come upon.

The cafe was not actually open but once we were near, the owners popped out to open for us and several riders enjoyed a coffee or latte.

Soon we saddled up for the next leg of our tour, and made it to Manson Bay. I don’t know if anyone took a photo of the lovely park where we got some food from the kiosk and had our picnic lunch. I am disappointed in myself for not taking at least one picture to share here.

Manson had its “Apple Blossom Festival” at the end of May. I don’t know if the apples that are painted on many sidewalks were for the festival, or if that is something that is always part of the town.

After lunch, we scrambled through some minor construction in town and found our way “home”. This evening was a plan for either going out for a taco dinner and music, or staying put at camp and having your dinner there. That meant there would be no organized activity for our last night here and we could all relax or do whatever pre-breakdown we chose for our morning departure.
It is ‘go out for breakfast tomorrow”. The cafe is a mere 4 or so miles from camp, so I am choosing to ride there if I can get myself out the door and on my bike by about 7:15 🙄. I am always up early, but gearing up can sometimes take time and effort 🤨. I am hopeful though.
This about wraps up my posting for this trip and as usual, I thank you for following along. See you soon again 😎. And of course, a huge thank you to Lisa for planning, organizing and offering this trip to Sisters On The Fly.
