MY MORNING RIDE TO BREAKFAST

Susan kindly offered to close up camp while I took a morning bike ride to breakfast. It was a short 4 mile ride, but any time on my bike is a good time 😊.

It is so pleasant to ride on roads that have little auto traffic, and those that are driving are very cautious and considerate of cyclists as they seem much less in a hurry. Looking back on the road I am riding shows what little traffic there is, and reinforces that there are vineyards everywhere.

My next attempt at a photo was to try to get the white foam looking waves on the lake. Not too successful at that. While I was stopped here on the side of the road, Lisa was about to pass me, driving to breakfast. As any sister would do for any sister, she stopped to make sure I was ok. I gave a thumbs up and a nod of thanks for her stop.

On our ride the day before I had noticed what looked like little round fruit and wondered if that was a cherry orchard. It is cherry season after all. This morning I stopped for a closer look and discovered that this is an apple orchard. I have never seen apples in the beginning stages of fruition so now I feel more β€œeducated”.

A group of the trees and fruit from a distance.

A little closer look. The fruit is looking bigger than cherries.

This next photo makes them look almost like full grown apples, but they are very small.

I guess you could say I learned something new today. Or at least saw something new.

Moving along the quiet road I thought this little house looked like a cabin in the woods. From another perspective closer to it, I’m sure it looks very much like a house in a neighborhood. But I could make up my own story.

Nearing our breakfast place, I passed by this old vehicle. I love old cars, trucks and other vehicles so could not pass by without a photo.

At the end of my 4 mile ride I arrived at Blueberry Hills Farm where I would meet up with some of the sisters for breakfast. Good food, good company, and fantastic farewell hugs.

On my mere 4 mile bike ride I saw more than I would have noticed from a car drive. I was happy and thankful for Susan to do the work at camp ❀️😊.
